Goodbye London ☓
I’ve been living in London for the past year and a half but now my time here is almost over.
My experience in this city had been pretty amazing! Especially my work experience. I had the chance to be part of very exciting projects within pretty skilled teams.
After my degree in fashion design, with the time I became a couturier, a costume maker, a seamstress, a sample machinist, an embroiderer. What I really enjoy is to create things with my hands and the perfection you can get in caring about details.
Working for luxury companies such as Alexander McQueen or Ralph and Russo was very stressful at times but so fascinating and rewarding in the end. I’ve learned so much, for example beading and embroidery techniques amongst other things.
Beyond that, I tried to experience London and surroundings as much as I could. But now it’s time to pack and say goodbye…
With my partner we’re moving back to Brussels (at least for six months, not sure yet beyond that). We haven’t been living in Belgium for about 6-7 years so we feel excited and a bit anxious at the same time. Exciting to daily enjoy our families and friends again but a bit anxious to have to readjust ourselves to the life in Belgium.
Let’s see what the future holds… 😉 Hopefully, I’ll find a bit more time to spend over here soon!
Here are a few pictures I took for the past year and a half
